This is a good video on the subject. I was happy to see this as I have met the maker, she is a member of a group called "Treadle On" and we meet up occasionally to sew, fix machines and buy/sell parts. Very nice person. This shuttles are not hard exactly, just way different. Wish this video was around back then when I was trying to do it the first time!
